Our Work with the DfE and the 2026 CCS Framework

We have held positive conversations with Beth Lord at the Department for Education about the increasing focus on agency supply and the need for clearer transparency across the sector.

A key theme in these discussions has been the DfE’s intention to give Trusts a much clearer picture of agency margin so leaders can see exactly where their money is going.

This direction aligns with the new framework being developed by the Crown Commercial Service
for 2026.

The framework will include negotiated rate caps and stronger expectations around openness. Trusts will be asked to demonstrate value for money and understand the margins paid across their Academies.

To support this, Edaro is already building an Agency Margin Calculator that will be ready for
May 2026.

This will allow agencies working under the CCS terms to clearly show their margin to the Academies they support.

It gives Trusts the transparency the DfE wants and helps agencies demonstrate fairness in a simple, consistent way.

Edaro reads invoices, time sheets, terms of business and candidate information and turns it into a clear picture for Trusts and Academies.

As the sector moves towards full transparency of agency supply and margin, Edaro is already prepared to help Trusts meet those expectations with confidence.
